First major purchase for the new house, HE not SHE, promised the lil guys that when he moved into a larger house that they would get a larger house. So, he purchase this tank the day we moved into the new house. It was necessary though, as the fish were outgrowing the 55 gallon tank by leaps and bounds. There are 23 occupants of this tank currently, ?? from the original setup. This tank has two Aquaclear 500's, 1 diatom filter for water polishing, 1 lifeguard 900 fluidized bed filter and 3 Aquaclear powerhead(804,304,404). Between the power heads and the Aquaclear filters this tank has a lot of water movement with which the fish love. This tank has a crushed coral substrate, and about 50 pounds of rock. There are also two 250 watt heaters in the tank to keep the tank water at an average of 78 degrees. This tank resides in the basement. because of the weight of the tank we thought the concrete floor would be the best for support. We are in the process of finishing our basement and so, this tank is being built into the wall. We had a plumber install a sink behind the tank, so that water changes would not be so hard.
